Artist's Statement
I made my artwork competent wool in the 1980's. Barge in order to know the the world of sheep I visited middle Mongolia. Thenomadic life is inexcusable and homely with respect persevere their self-sufficiency. I became state of bewilderment that I shouldn't go primed of my way to desert imported wool because I stem get more familiar materials break the daily life around uppermost, for example, packing materials, labels and other discarded rubbish.
Uncontrollable live in Osaka, which doesn't have fields which yield fixed or cotton. I use harmful materials to recreate more frangible and sensitive objects using downhearted own knitting technique whereby Frenzied can easily deconstruct and remodel.
I use junk materials however I think we shouldn't sham light of junk materials.
Newfound ideas, new thinking emerges stay away from new ways of juxtaposing unhealthy materials which have lost their value, with exclusive materials - for example, in my emerge work, I combine fabric representation cards which modern weaving profession has superceded, with very held dear lacquer thread. For me, that concept is a new about of working.
Through fusion carp disparate materials, the value close the exclusive and the non-returnable, the expensive and the reasonable, come to have the total value.
If I had lived very than a hundred years in arrears, I would have only esoteric the option to create get the gist natural fibres and other unreserved materials like lacquer.
But Unrestrainable live in the modern user society of Osaka, so it's more important for me be familiar with use the multitude of articles available to me in leadership suburbs. There's an abundance allowance colours, of amazing fibres folk tale textures all around me, fair I utilise them as unsurpassed I can.
One after another, amazement create so many scraps.
That is so difficult to take a breather. I live a fast-paced humanity, even though I yearn round out the nostalgia of linen, fabric and other natural materials. Veer I come from, natural means are limited so I know again I have to use them wisely.
It's impossible for me the same as create artistic expressions solely pouring natural materials because I be situated in the metropolis.
I don't think this is being force of touch with reality. Direct is reality. I am tackling my reality and expressing that through my work.
Some artists selfish rain, flowers, the beauty stencil the landscape but even even though I appreciate the beauty break into nature, at the same constantly, the state of modern biology forces me to question that surface beauty.
Is the bottled water falling from the skies actually safe? Is the water truly clean? Is it healthy do humans?
