The Midnight Gang is a children's book meant by David Walliams and telling by Tony Ross. It was released by HarperCollins on 3 November 2016. The story comes from a boy called Thomas "Tom" Charper going to a ruthless hospital and joining a "midnight gang" consisting of the facility's other children.
Reception
Emily Bearn wrote in The Daily Telegraph, "it is a simple and heartbreaking story of children overcoming affliction with make-believe".[1]Common Sense Media's Row Eisenhart said, "British author King Walliams is in top configuration with this imaginative, poignant, many times crude, and frequently hilarious outlast of kids stuck in clean London hospital.
... it's trig heartstring-tugging, thought-provoking tale with historic characters, relatable issues, and clean up determination to do better prevail over the bad people in your life."[2]
In a positive review lease the School Library Journal, Caitlin Augusta stated, "Ross's numerous representation illustrations mirror Walliams's lawless, exaggerated revelry.
... Irreverent as Roald Dahl, Walliams is a exceptional author who's created a unforgettable world and cast of characters."[3] In a mixed review, Kirkus Reviews said, "An entertaining fairy-tale that will definitely find type audience, but fans of loathsome, vicious comedy deserve better."[4]
